First introduced during last week's Facebook Connects event - read our full report - Meta has now confirmed its Spark AR certification program intended to help creators advance their careers and compete for paid opportunities.

The Spark AR Curriculum free online learning program launched earlier this year, with more than 22,000 creators enrolling in the AR Fundamentals course. Launching this month, a formal program will enable creators to earn a Facebook Certified Spark AR Creator badge.

The certification program is designed for advanced-level AR creators to distinguish their AR skills in the marketplace, either to help boost their careers or to pursue opportunities with brands and agencies. Anyone that achieves certification will be invited to join the Facebook Certification Career Network, a job search platform featuring more than 100 brands.

The final exam will cost $150, free for the first 2,000 candidates. Sign up here to be notified when the program opens.

Level up

If your skills aren't quite at that level, a new five-hour Spark AR Professional free course is intended to help you progress to certification. Meta will also offer updates to its AR Fundamentals course for beginners, as well as an Easy Introduction to AR.
