Google Launches 3D Library, Poly

Google has launched a new library of downloadable 3D objects and scenes called Poly. The aim of this online resource is to make content creation easier for everyone, building on the popularity of apps like Tilt Brush and Blocks with full integration.

Poly was built from the ground up for use in AR and VR development and offers multiple options for items across a wide range of genres. Many of the models are editable by importing the file into Tilt Brush or Blocks and users can reupload the ‘remixed’ version for other users. Poly automatically credits and links to the original file too.

The library can also be used by anybody to view 3D objects in a mobile or desktop browser, create a shareable GIF or view it in VR using Cardboard or Daydream View.
