IMAX has launched the official website for IMAX VR Los Angeles, its forthcoming flagship VR Experience Centre. Newly released graphics on the website now reveal that customers will enter their own room-scale tracking ‘pods’ to enjoy a range of VR games and experiences - including multiplayer. The site promises that users will enjoy a state-of-the-art facility that the site describes as a, ‘Sleek, social and futuristic lounge’, with top-end PCs and haptic feedback control systems to create an extra-immersive VR experience for customers.

Starbreeze’s panoramic HMD, StarVR, will feature at the centres, after IMAX partnered with the company earlier this year. IMAX Corp. CEO Richard L. Gelfond said it’s the one headset that provides an, “IMAX-like field of view to allow consumers to see, feel, move and play in new worlds in a powerfully immersive and realistic way.”

At IMAX VR’s launch, the following games and experiences will be available:

• Star Wars: Trials on Tattoine
• John Wick: Chronicles
• Raw Data
• Eagle Flight
• The Walk
• Escape!VR - The Basement

The flagship VR IMAX VR Experience Centre will be located in South Fairfax, Los Angeles, California. Tickets are yet to go on sale.
