Hampshire studio nDreams has completed a £2 million follow-on investment with Mercia Technologies, and an additional £700,000 from private investors.
The company is targeting rapid growth over the next year as the VR market continues to expand, with five VR titles we in production, including Bloody Zombies.
Hired And Hiring
nDreams has also appointed two senior positions. Paul Fitzsimons, a former partner at Apax Partners, a leading Private Equity group, joins as Chairman. Rob Precious, the former Director of Business Development at Geomerics/ARM, has also joined the Board as Non-Executive Director.
The company also plans to strengthen its senior team by hiring a CFO and a COO in the coming months.
Arcade On Fire
These investments and hires come at the same time as a major deal to bring exclusive new content to a leading VR arcade company. This move into the virtual reality arcade space follows a successful 12 months for the company, with content released on PC, console and mobile VR platforms. This partnership is just one of a number of recent deals with key third-party companies, with more announcements to follow in the coming months.
