Apple Event date revealed using augmented reality

Apple has announced its next event coming up on September 14th at 10am PT (6pm UK Time). What's it about? Will there be a hardware reveal? Will there be free iPhones for all? We don't know (although the last one's unlikely!)

We wouldn't ordinarily report an upcoming Apple event, were it not for one detail - the announcement page features some pretty slick augmented reality. Yes, you too could have the Apple logo floating in your very living room! Okay, it's perhaps not the most exciting use of AR we've seen, but it's shiny and makes us wonder if AR will form at least part of the event. We'll find out on Tuesday...

Keeping Cupertino's ever 'virtuous' circle intact, you can watch the event live at Apple.com or on Apple TV.
