Sony has announced the release date for its eagerly anticipated Aim controller will be 16th May. The bespoke gun controller has been developed alongside Impulse Gear’s new IP, Farpoint, a sci fi FPS for PS VR that releases on the same date.
Unlike the last generation Sharpshooter, this is a fully self-contained controller that includes triggers, buttons, joysticks and light ‘ball’. Sony is promising 1-to-1 tracking for the peripheral. No price has been announced yet, but Gamestop lists an Aim and Farpoint bundle for $79.99 in the USA . In the UK, Base lists the controller alone at £99.99.
