After revealing its $299 VR HMD for Windows 10 and promising that, “Powerful and affordable VR is coming to everyone”, Microsoft has started detailing the minimum PC specs required to comfortably power VR experiences using the device.
Here are the minimum requirements given by Microsoft:
• 4GB RAM
• USB 3.0 port
• DirectX12 support GPU
• 4 CPU cores, including dual-core with hyperthreading
It seems Terry Myerson meant it when he said, “You can turn on your laptop and immediately start scanning, printing, creating and sharing in 3D and experience MR.”
Microsoft will reveal more information during the WinHEC events taking place on December 8-9 in Shenzhen, China and December 14-15 in Taipei City, Taiwan.
