PS4 Pro, the next iteration of Sony’s PS4 console is set to launch tomorrow, 10th November. Of the 40+ titles to be enhanced by the new model, 13 either have PS VR compatibility features or were built specifically for PS VR:
• Battlezone
• Bound
• Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
• Driveclub VR
• PlayStation VR Worlds
• Rez Infinite
• RIGS Mechanized Combat League
• Rise of the Tomb Raider
• Robinson: The Journey
• Super Stardust Ultra
• The Playroom VR
• Thumper
• Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
Whilst the details around how the games will be enhanced are still unclear, we can expect to see less of things like pop-up or texture issues and more stable framerates in PS VR compatible games.
The launch of the PS4 Pro will give us some insight into how beneficial the upgraded CPU and GPU, 4K resolution and HDR imaging technology will be for PSVR users, as well as how these improvements may be utilised by developers in future titles.
