British, European and Canadian consumers can walk into stores and walk back out with a brand new Oculus Rift under their arm from today, six months after it was available through retail in North America.
The UK price is £549, £50 more than the £499 list price when pre-orders opened in January. Oculus tell us this is due to VAT and the falling pound, post-Brexit. Oculus founder Palmer Luckey observes that, “Rift is obscenely cheap for what it is!”
Every new Rift comes with:
- Headset
- Integrated headphones and mic
- Sensor
- Remote
- Xbox One Wireless Controller
- 2 AA batteries, adapter and extender
- Connection cords
- Tool to remove/add headphones
- Lucky’s Tale
The Rift is now available in the UK at:
