Dream Reality Interactive (dRi) has secured its first round of financial investment since the company was founded last year. The two investors are independent creative company, Mother, and the co-founder of PlayStation and former President of Worldwide Studios, Phil Harrison.
dRi CEO Dave Ranyard commented, “We are really excited by the space where AR, VR and AI meet and can see amazing opportunities for new levels of immersion and human interaction. Having backing from two successful and insightful investors enables us to accelerate our ambitions and is a huge validation of the talented team we have put together.”
Supercharging Brand Storytelling
Michael Wall, the Global CEO of Mother added, “The team that Dave has assembled at dRi represent a brilliant and fundamental part of the future shape of marketing - with the skills to harness emerging technologies and supercharge the potential of brand storytelling. Our recent experience with Stella has only reinforced our view of the importance it will present in the future.”
Phil Harrison said, “I invested in dRi because the team is fantastic and the AR/VR sector is one of the most exciting frontiers in technology today.”
Hold The World
The core team at dRi previously worked at Sony's London Studio where they developed PlayStation VR Worlds. The King's Cross studio was founded by senior management from Sony London Studio, SingStar and Criterion, and is currently working on a production featuring Sir David Attenborough for Sky.
