Oculus VR is getting ready to bestow $1 million worth of prizes on the lucky winners of its Mobile VR Jam 2015.

Participants will be challenged to build new, innovative virtual reality games across two tracks: VR games and VF experiences.

This is the third annual Jam that aims to build the Oculus developer community while drawing attention to the company’s new technologies.

"It's time to create the best new games, apps, and experiences for the Gear VR Innovator Edition. A total prize pool of $1,000,000 will be split between two tracks - one for VR games, and the other for VR experiences and apps," said Oculus VR on the competition announcement page.

"The Mobile VR Jam is an opportunity to build groundbreaking new experiences in collaboration with other passionate VR pioneers, and win cash prizes for innovative uses of VR-specific interactions and pushing the medium forward."

First pitch submissions are due on 20 April with final builds expected by 11 May. Winners will be announced on around 4 June.
