Viewers of business news network CNBC got their first look at the Magic Leap 2 headset this month in an interview with CEO Peggy Johnson.
The segment with the former EVP of business development at Microsoft also revealed new investment of $500m with a $2bn valuation for the Florida-based company.
In an earlier statement, Johnson described the funding as, "An important step in advancing Magic Leap’s mission to transform the way we work”.
Magic Leap will continue to target the enterprise sector with its second headset, particularly the healthcare, defence and manufacturing industries.
Magic Leap 2 is claimed to be the smallest and lightest device for enterprise, with double the field of view over the original, as well as, "Improvements to image quality, colour fidelity, text legibility," in Johnson's words.
She went on to speak about the company's ambitions of, "Growing a metaverse of virtual content inside our physical world".
Magic Leap 2 will release in 2022.
