CES 2022: Shiftall reveals three products for the metaverse, including MeganeX VR headset

Japanese tech company Shiftall has revealed three products that it intends to bring to the metaverse. Obviously, the most interesting for us is the reveal of the MeganeX VR headset, based on years of R&D by parent company, Panasonic.

The Steam VR compatible ultra-Lightweight 6DoF VR Headset weighs in at 250g and features 5.2K Resolution OLED Microdisplay with HDR at 120Hz.

MeganeX will be powered by Snapdragon XR1 and is expected to be released Spring 2022.

Pebble Feel is a 'metaverse-Linked' wearable body cooling and heating system. It's a personal air conditioner that heats and cools the human body with a high-performance Peltier element that fits in the palm of your hand like a pebble - hence the name. It can both heat and cool the human body from the nape of the neck when combined with a special shirt or supporter belt.

By using the dedicated SteamVR add-on, users can experience cold and heat in a metaverse space like VRChat. It will also provide a mechanism that anyone can easily create a metaverse world with a specified sensible temperature using existing shaders.
