You have less than a month to pre-register for the business matching system at South Korea's incredible G-STAR event!
The annual conference, which is the one-stop, easily-accessible gateway to the Asian market, takes place on 16th to 18th November. The conference is a truly unique event, massive in scale and offering a fantastic view in the gaming market in Asia.
Across its 55,300 square metres of space, G-STAR offers a PC and Online Game Zone, a Mobile Game Zone, an Arcade Game Zone, a Board Game Zone, a Console Game Zone, an SME Pavilion, Korea’s Content Industry Pavilion, an Event Stage, a Playroom for Kids, and loads more. Last year there were over 2,700 booths across the B2B and B2C areas! In total, the 2016 event drew 217,365 consumer visitors and 1,902 business visitors. It is certain to be a huge event again this year.
Additionally, to facilitate the best business meetings for export and marketing, G-STAR offers a business matching system in an integrated business platform. Steel Media will be taking part. Here is all the latest information to help you plan your visit.
Biz Matching System
The B2B conference at G-STAR 2017 will have a business meeting system that supports communications between exhibitors and trade visitors. Pre-registration for the service began on Wednesday 13th September and will remain open until Friday 3rd November. Exhibitors and trade visitors can apply for access at the official home page.
At the site, they will be able to see information about attending corporations, and arrange a place and time for meetings – the site also has a useful message function. The process has been looked on favourably by small to medium-sized Korean gaming companies, who normally don’t have ready access to business opportunities with overseas visitors.
During the pre-registration period, the service is offered at a 50% discount (if you register when you're already on-site in November, the cost will be $200).
Mr Yongguk Kim, director of Korea Association of Game Industry and General Manager of the G-STAR Organization Committee said, “The business matching system is the optimised business solution exclusively offered by G-STAR for the goal of becoming the largest game distribution hub in Asia”. He added, “We have extended the pre-registration period to maximise business consulting opportunities between exhibitors and trade visitors, and with it we expect active participation and actual results for gaming companies.”

Events
As well as expert speakers, packed expo halls and meetings in the B2B area, G-STAR will keep you occupied with a roster of official and fringe events throughout the days of the convention.
Visitors will enjoy a Welcome Reception and Opening Ceremony. There's the conference with expert speakers, a Game Invest Market and a Game Industry Job Fair, as well as an e-Sports event. And G-STAR partners Steel Media Ltd will be running one of their famous Big Indie Pitches during G-STAR, so you can look forward to discovering new indie talent – or displaying your own!
Mr Yongguk Kim added, "We are happy to have the Big Indie Pitch as an official programme item for G-STAR. Over the last few years, Steel Media’s Big Indie Pitch has constantly given encouragement to indie game developers around the world. The initiative has become a meaningful platform to raise indie game developers' profiles and attract investors as well. We hope the Big Indie Pitch at G-STAR helps the Asian indies and that the spirit of the Big Indie Pitch makes G-STAR even more helpful for the game industry."
