Greenpeace Calls For Virtual Adventurers

Greenpeace has launched its Virtual Explorer, giving users the chance to come face to face with a polar bear in the Arctic or soar above the Amazon.

The environmental charity hopes that its supporters will experience these places in VR to see what the campaigns aim to protect. Greenpeace is also offering ‘free’ Cardboard headsets – in return for a minimum donation of £6.

The app is available for Android and for iPhone now; the Greenpeace Virtual Explorer app and headsets are only available in the UK.

To find out more about Greenpeace and VR, watch Senior Engagement Advisor Pete Spellor's Superstar Session, VR For Change, from January's VR Connects London. For more opportunities to hear about the different ways VR is shaping our world, why not attend our next VR Connects event in San Francisco this June?
