French Airline Offers VR In-flight Entertainment

Air France’s subsidiary specifically aimed at younger audiences, Joon, will launch AlloSky, a new VR headset made for airlines.

The lightweight headset, created by SkyLights, offers full HD, 2D, 3D and 180 degrees viewing of films and TV available on a proprietaryapp, YouJoon, available on iOS and Android. The headset also has Bluetooth functionality, meaning customers can connect and stream from their own devices to the headset.

David Dicko, CEO at SkyLights said, “We believe this is a breakthrough, making the future of in-flight entertainment a reality today. For the first time, airlines will introduce an entertainment experience which is better than anything else yet available on the ground.”

The headset will be available as part of the airline’s in-flight entertainment, simply ask a cabin steward to get immersed.
