A new London venue dedicated to Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality, The Realities Centre, is opening its doors for a launch event on December 9th. From December, The Realities Centre will offer a co-working space, and an incubator programme to find and support businesses at the forefront of thriving realities industries.
Following the official announcement event there will be a soft opening on 12th December, where the Realities Centre will offer co-working space. Designed to enable access to hardware and space to foster new ideas and innovative uses of technology, The Realities Centre will be the UK’s first co-working location created with mixed reality development at the core of its offering.
In 2017, the Realities Centre will launch an incubator programme, a first of its kind for the United Kingdom. Later in 2017, a state-of-the-art MR production studio will launch, creating world leading content in the heart of London’s technological economy.
“The UK has always been at the forefront of software and hardware development, from the humble beginnings of the original BBC Micro, to ARM, and beyond into today’s highly competitive, global development sector,” said Thomas Gere, Director at The Realities Centre. He continued, “Our aim is to make the UK the market leader in immersive technologies software, and the opening of our first dedicated space will enable access to current technologies, and help shape and influence those of the future.”
