Nottingham-based developer Lockwood Publishing is opening a new studio in Brighton.
Currently, Lockwood Publishing is best known for its 3D virtual world Avakin Life - the organic success of which has allowed the Nottingham office to grow to approximately 30 staff.
New challenges
But the direction of this new Brighton studio is a sign that Lockwood is not resting on its laurels, making virtual reality and artificial intelligence its primary focus.
PocketGamer.biz can reveal that the studio will be led by Bruce Heather, who's formerly held positions as Technical Director of EA and CTO/COO at Relentless Software.
Lockwood Publishing is currently hiring in various positions at both its new Brighton office and the Nottingham headquarters.
