Preserving the integrity of mobile games – is full protection a utopia?

Everyone around the world is playing some sort of mobile game. Whether it be a game like Among Us, Candy Crush Saga, PUBG Mobile or Roblox, mobile games' revenue and the number of gamers continues to grow, with 2020 being an exceptionally strong year for the industry as a whole.

However, studios, distribution platforms and developers know that, with the explosive growth of mobile games, come certain threats – cloning, financial data; IP theft, cheaters, hackers… to name just a few. These threats have consequences on revenue, gamers retention, reliability and reputation of the publishers and the more people will be playing games, the more impactful these threats will be.

Is there any way to have a mobile game fully protected? Should you compromise? If so, how much? What are the fundamental laws of game protection?

This free fireside chat will gather experts from the mobile game industry who will share their experience and feedback on those threats and how they chose to address them. It is also designed to give very practical guidance to developers and studios to mitigate those threats and preserve the integrity of their games.

Lastly, it will segue into other platforms, such as console or PC.

Join Steeve Huin, CMO and Head of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Irdeto, Renee Gittins, Executive director at the IGDA and Andreas Mac Mahon, Chief Product Officer at Flexion Mobile on February 16th for an exclusive webinar.
