SubVRsive has received a $4m investment in its Series A investment round. The entire sum has been invested by communications services company, WPP. The Austin, Texas firm says that it intends to use the funding, “To accelerate our growth and continue to build our team with the best talent in the industry.”
In a statement on its website, SubVRsive says, “We are thrilled to now be working with WPP – the world’s largest communications services company – to bring the benefits of VR and AR to their family of agencies and brand clients.”
The company has also expanded its executive team, appointing Johannes Larcher as CEO. Larcher was most recently part of the executive leadership team that built Hulu, the video on demand service owned by Disney, Fox, NBC, and Time Warner.
