Following the unveiling of Samsung's Gear VR headset, UK-based studio nDreams has lifted the lid on Gunner, an VR space combat 'experience'.
Gunner, which will be co-published by Oculus, is nDreams' first VR title and will feature controller-free gameplay that's been described as both deep and accessible.
Players will be able to aim and shoot by simply looking at their targets, battling their way through multiple game modes set across a variety of unique planetary systems.
New experiences
The developer has also revealed a second VR project in the form of Perfect Beach.
Pitched as a "unique relaxation experience, ideal for today's busy lifestyle", Perfect Beach aims to provide users with a virtual retreat they can visit whenever they feel overwhelmed by the 21st century grind.
Patrick O’Luanaigh, CEO of nDreams, has suggested that both titles offer wholly unique experiences that will prove VR has a place in the future of gaming.
“Gunner is an amazing new experience that anyone can enjoy, it delivers immersive gameplay only made possible by the power of virtual reality," explained O'Luanaigh.
“Perfect Beach was a great opportunity to create a different type of experience that only VR allows.
"In this day and age, we are constantly contactable 24 hours a day, we therefore wanted to produce something that gave you time to de-stress unwind and forget about your stressful day, and we believe we have this with Perfect Beach."
Both titles will be launched alongside Samsung's Gear VR headset.
