Our Games Publishing Lead will play an important role as part of Tencent Games’ Global Publishing team – reporting directly into the Head of Global PC/Console Publishing

Thanks to your superior understanding of overall market and players motivations and partnering very closely with our second-party production team, you will build great relationships with our game studio partners and collaborate with them to deliver AAA titles across multiple platforms (Consoles, PC and/or Mobile).

As Game Publishing Lead, you will follow AAA game franchises through all development stages, from initial concept design right through to commercial release and post launch support/live-ops and you will specifically oversee early product optimization, testing, and pre-release preparations, as well as all post-launch publishing efforts such as promotion, community management, user acquisition (UA), live-ops, and commercialization.

You’ll be leading our Brand marketing strategy from setting brand vision, game positioning and global campaign roadmap to the regional go-to-market execution of our live service/GAAS plans on:

  • Acting as the central point of contact you will facilitate information flow and work collaboration among different regions. Ensure the successful global release of the project.
  • Allocating publishing resources effectively, including human and budget resources across various regions and functions. Implement data driven and efficient management practices to enhance project efficiency, data performance, and profitability.
  • Coordinating with other teams at Tencent and with external partners/agencies ensuring our projects progress to successful completion. Together, we will help our partner studios make great games!
  • Being accountable for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) including brand awareness, purchase intent, revenue, daily active users (DAU) and retention rates.
  • Working with one or more European based studios, including frequent international travel.
  • Driving quality in a collaborative and constructive way.
  • Being involved in strategic product planning, franchise and lifecycle management.
  • Designing and run market and consumer research studies to identify and measure market opportunities and define game positioning.
  • Ensuring effective processes are in place for project tracking, including milestone reviews and feedback.
  • Supporting the studios to plan and execute the marketing strategy for their products.
  • Developing strong relationships to establish and maintain a reliable and timely flow of information and materials to all parties as necessary.
  • Coordinating with other teams in Tencent to leverage available services and know-how.
  • Analysing competitive products and new business opportunities and make recommendations to senior management.


To be successful you will have:

  • 10+ years’ brand marketing, product management, or equivalent experience, shipping multiple titles across several platforms.
  • An excellent understanding of what is required to build and deliver AAA titles and franchises.
  • An understanding of F2P and live service/GaaS business models and best practices especially in the European and American markets.
  • A passion for games and a keen eye for market trends and data. Demonstrate the ability to identify and capitalize on genre or market opportunities effectively.
  • An open and flexible mindset, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both written and spoken, to serve as a working language.
  • Possess cultural awareness for both Chinese and Western cultures.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, self-drive, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Be resilient to pressure and capable of managing work across different time zones. Prior experience in large-scale multinational projects is preferred.
