The Game Awards return next month and the organisers have announced the nominees for 2017. Of the 102 games across 30 categories, XR is represented by five titles in the category Best VR/AR Game, which is described as being, “For the best game experience playable in virtual or augmented reality, irrespective of platform”.

The nominees are:

• Superhot VR
• Star Trek: Bridge Crew
• Lone Echo / Echo Arena
• Farpoint
• Resident Evil VII: Biohazard
