Californian start-up, Byond, has launched the open beta for its Immersive Suite web based publishing and CMS for VR, AR and 360.

Two-and-a-half years in development, the suite is intended to enable anyone to create XR experiences with no technical ability, much like Wordpress or Wix has done for websites. It should also ensure compatibility across devices from Daydream and Gear VR to Vive.

With tools such as a virtual store builder and customisable templates, Immersive Suite hopes to cater to the diverse needs of brands, media and entertainment agencies, e-commerce and more. Brands already using the suite include HP and Coca Cola.

Founder and CTO Eran Galil said, “With the Byond Immersive Suite, we want to significantly reduce the complexity of creating, publishing and analysing the performance of AR/VR apps, across all multiple display and interaction devices.”
