We’re well and truly on the road to XR Connects Helsinki now, and we’ve already lined up a heavyweight list of speakers from the worlds of VR, AR and MR to come along and impart their knowledge on the attendees.
From monetisation tips and development to predicting just where XR might be in 10 years, we have all the hot topics covered across two full days of talks and panels. So, with the 19th and 20th September fast approaching, let's take a look at some of the confirmed speakers....
Live From XR Connects Helsinki
How about one of the biggest names not only in XR, but in the world - Google. They will once again join us at the show to discuss all things Daydream and what it takes to stand out in the competitive world of mobile VR.
Next up is Resolution Games' CTO Martin Vilcans, with one of XR Connects Helsinki’s Superstar Sessions. Best known for their hugely successful Gear VR title Bait!, Martin Vilcans will be taking all the lessons Resolution have learned to take attendees through everything they need to know in order to create a hit VR game.
Following on from this, and continuing the theme of creating experiences in VR, we have one of the UK’s most successful studios, Coatsink. In this XR University keynote talk, Narrative Designer Jon Davies will be taking the audience step-by-step through how they've been building an RPG from the ground up for VR.
And finally - for today - onto some old friends of the Connects family, who we first met as the winnners of our inaugural VR Indie Pitch at last year’s Helsinki show. Since then though, Nempers has rebranded to Evocat Games, launched their award-winning Nemesis Perspective and even been selected to be a part of the Nordic VR Startups programme. With all that experience, Evocat Games will be joining us to impart some of their knowledge from not only surviving, but thriving as an indie in the XR scene.

With two full days of talks and panels, this is just a sneak peak of what we’ve lined up for XR Connects Helsinki. We’ll reveal more in the coming weeks, as we take a deep dive into all four tracks, which include XR University, XR Business, Future Visions, and our stand-out Superstar Sessions.
