New Rift Earphones From Oculus

Oculus announced their new Rift compatible earphones at yesterday’s Oculus Conn3ct in California. Oculus CEO & Co-founder Brendan Iribe said, “If you’ve ever used VR without integrated audio on the PC, you know it’s not a great experience, dealing with all the cables.”

Sharing the ambition of providing the same, “Seamless, always there and really high quality audio,” as the original headphones, the Oculus Earphones offer, “Advanced noise isolation and drivers that are optimised for VR; these create an even deeper sense of presence.”

And the audiophiles out there will be please to hear Iribe say that, “These sound as good as - if not better than - some of the highest end earphones in the world.” He even claimed that their new $49 accessory is comparable to $900 standalone products.

Available to pre-order for from 10th October, shipping from 6th December.
